Software
The Mm3Win software talks to the Mind Mirror III via the fiber serial cable. For the technically challenged - it needs Microsoft Win 2000/Me/XP with an available serial port.
For the more technically cognizant, it will also run on Windows 98 SE (second edition) and NT 4.0 with the specified memory.
It requires a Pentium processor 333Mhz or faster (or AMD equivalent such as Athelon), with at least 128Mbytes of memory, and 3 Mbyte of disk and a serial "COM1 or COM2" port, but will support any port up to COM9. The software comes on a standard CD so a CD drive is recommended.
We recommend a Pentium II MMX processor or later. The equivalent AMD processor also works.
If the computer doesn't come with a serial COM port then it should have some other means of being able to add a serial COM port. e.g. a USB interface, and purchase a USB to serial COM port. The Mind Mirror fiber modem is 25 pin D type female, and a cable is supplied to convert it to the 9 pin D type female.
On starting up and running the software on a client it could look like this
The Mind Mirror patterns are displayed with the frequencies to the left. The colour changes for the frequency groupings from Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta
Optionally,
- the scaling may be turned off,
- the space between the bars may be filled in
- music toggled.
All screen shots may be copied and then pasted into any other document (such as Word).
In addition there is a history view of the data that has been recorded.
The history view can be re-sized, scaled to the window and the cursor moved - the MM Display window displays what is at the cursor position. In the above snapshot, the cursor is at the position that is shown in the first window.
